If you are selected for advanced standing after faculty review of your admission portfolio, you will be notified and your freshman schedules will reflect your placement.

Registration for Classes

You will receive a course selection survey to choose your preferred classes. Your course schedule will be available to you during Orientation.

Transfer students who have paid their tuition deposit will be contacted by the Academic Advisor for Transferring Students beginning April 3rd regarding scheduling procedures. Advising and registration will occur online or by telephone May 1st to May 25th. (Priority will be given to students who have deposited earliest.)

Visa Information

As a new incoming student from abroad you will need to return all international student paperwork for your visa. You are required to submit your Immigration Information form to indicate your current immigration status and intentions regarding immigration while studying at MICA. The Immigration Information form (download PDF) is required before an I-20 can be issued and it must be completed even if you do not plan to study under an F-1 visa.

If you already hold a valid F-1 Visa from another school and plan to transfer to MICA you must also complete and return the I-20 Transfer Release form (download PDF) along with a photocopy of your current I-20 form.

In addition to the Immigration form, please submit the required financial statement documents; official bank statement and a signed Affidavit of Financial Support form (download PDF). You will also need to submit a copy of your passport. According to U.S. Immigration law, we must have this documentation before we can issue your I-20.
