5. On-Campus Housing
Fall Full-Time
The Office of Residence Life offers limited on-campus housing for graduate students. For more information on housing options, you can visit our Housing for Graduate Students page. If you're planning to apply for on-campus housing for the fall semester, we recommend submitting the $550 housing deposit ($250 refundable damage deposit and $300 non-refundable reservation deposit) with your tuition deposit. If the Office of Residence Life is unable to place you in campus housing, the deposit is fully refundable. If you withdraw your application for on-campus housing, the Office of Residence Life will refund the $250 damage deposit. Take some time to explore the Housing for Graduate Students page to decide about on- or off-campus housing before submitting your deposit!
Summer Low-Residency
The Office of Residence Life offers housing to all low-residency students. Students planning to register for housing during the summer session should do the following:
A. Housing Deposit
Low-residency students that plan to live on-campus should submit a $200 housing deposit with their tuition deposit to reserve a place. To submit your tuition and housing deposit, you can complete the MICA Declaration of Intent form online.
B. Low-Residency Housing Application (click here to complete form)
The application form allows you to provide general information about your preferences and needs so that you can receive a suitable housing assignment. All low-residency students are guaranteed on-campus housing placement, but you are not required to live in the dormitories.
6. Off-Campus Housing
Many graduate students opt to live off campus. There are many resources that can help you locate available apartments. The Office of Graduate Admission maintains a Graduate Housing Facebook Group to connect you with current students and staff. The Office of Residence Life also facilitates a Facebook Group that is directed primarily toward undergraduate students.
