Built specifically for design and time-based media programs, the Brown Center houses classroom and studio space for Animation and both graduate & undergraduate Graphic Design programs.
It is also home to Falvey Hall, a 525-seat auditorium, as well as Leidy Atrium and Rosenberg Gallery. When it opened, Architectural Record called it "the finest modern building erected in Baltimore or Washington" in a quarter-century.
The Browns are parents of MICA alumna Tonya Ingersol ’02, herself a former trustee. Eddie Brown is the CEO of Brown Capital Management, one of the country's oldest African-American owned investment management firms with $5.3 billion in assets under management today. A television personality in the field of finance for 25 years, he was inducted into the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame in 2004.
