There will be changes on campus regarding building hours and services. Students are encouraged to check with specific departments, services, and studios to determine when facilities will be available (all campus phone numbers are available online in the Faculty & Staff Directory). In addition, please note the following adjustments to building access hours.

Academic Services

• Campus academic buildings will close early each night at 11:00 pm from Friday, March 13, through Saturday, March 21. Regular operating hours will resume on Sunday, March 22 at 8:00 am
• Graduate students will continue to have 24-hour studio access to graduate studios/collaborative workspaces in the Fred Lazarus IV Center, Brown Center, and Fox Building (ID is required)
  • Please note: The 1st floor of Lazarus Center will be closed Saturday March 14th through Thursday March 19th. Access is only available through marked stairwells (ID required). 1801 Falls Road is open and accessible through marked stairwell on Falls Road
• The Film Centre will operate with regular hours throughout the break. The Video Cage will be closed Monday, March 16 –Saturday March 21
• MICA PLACE will operate with regular hours for MFACA students

Miscellaneous Academic Services

• The Decker Library will be open Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm, except for Wednesday when it will be open from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm. It will be closed on both weekends of the break. Regular hours will resume on Monday, March 23.
• Art Tech Center (including the Print Lab, Help Desk, and Tech Desk) will be open from 8:30 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday, and will be closed both weekends of the break. Regular hours will resume on Monday, March 23.
• Decker, Meyerhoff and Pinkard galleries will be open on Saturday-Sunday, March 14-15, then close for the remainder of Spring Break. All other galleries will be closed for the entire break.
• Photography Labs in the Main Building will be open weekdays of the break from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and will be closed both weekends of the break.
• Graduate Research Lab will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm during the break.
• Fabrication Studios will be closed for the break except for the following:
  • Dolphin Design Center Fabrication Lab – Open Tuesday, March 17 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and Wednesday, March 18 from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon
  • Lazarus Center Wood Shop – Open Wednesday and Thursday, March 18 - 19 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Residence Halls

Residence halls will remain open during the break, while all other campus studio buildings will close each night at 11:00 pm through Saturday, March 21. Normal building hours will resume on Sunday, March 22.

Miscellaneous Campus Services

• The MICA Store will be open 9:00 am–5:00 pm Monday-Friday, and 12:00 pm–5:00 pm Saturday-Sunday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, March 23
• The Chase Brexton Health Center will be open Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20 from 8:30 am – 12:00 noon, except for extended clinic hours on Wednesday, March 18 of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
• The Fitness Center will be open Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. It will be closed on the weekends of the break
• Postal & Print Services will operate with regular hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday

Food Services

Dining hours will be limited, so please plan ahead. Please note that dining services will not be available on weekends.

• Café Doris will be open weekdays from 9:00 am-2:00 pm, but meal "blocks" cannot be used during this time. Flex and Dining Dollars are accepted.
• Meyerhoff Dining Room will close after dinner on Friday, March 13. It will reopen for brunch on Sunday, March 22.
• Glace Grill will close at midnight on Thursday, March 12. It will reopen at 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 22
• Java Corner will be closed for the entire break
• Nancy will be closed for Spring Break for the Lazarus Center floor replacement project

Shuttle Services

• The MICA Evening Safety Shuttles will run from 5:00 pm-midnight Friday, March 13 through Saturday, March 21. Regular hours will resume on Sunday, March 22.
• The MICA Circulator will operate on its regular schedule on weekdays.
• The MICA Social Shuttle and MICA Shopping Shuttle will not operate over the break.
