Important Information About Hours of Operation

As MICA responds to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, operational hours on campus will be impacted. Please read the information below for information on health, dining, library, postal, and shuttle services.

Please note the following information below as hours of operation may change.

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center is currently scheduled to be open from half days in the mornings on March 16, 17, 19, and 20 and for the full day on Wednesday March 18.  Effective March 23, 2020, the Health Center will move to remote access, and student are requested to contact Student Health at (410) 225-4118 or healthservices@mica.edu where clinical staff will be available to address any concerns including, but not limited to, medication management, supportive health care, and any acute issues needing medical attention. 

Dining Halls

The Meyerhoff Dining Room will continue to have regular hours of operation through brunch on Saturday, March 21, after which it will close until further notice. Java Corner is closed as of Marc h 18.

Cafe Doris and Glace Grill are open, but will be reevaluated daily based on the number of students on campus utilizing the services.  Cafe Doris will remain open until  8:00 p.m. and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner through Friday evening. Glace Grill will close at 10:00 p.m. 

Nancy in the Fred Lazarus Center closed by the end of the day on Monday, March 16.

Decker Library

Decker Library is closed.

Postal and Print

MICA POSTAL & PRINT WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL CUSTOMERS 3/16/20 to reassess the current needs of the campus. Please check back throughout the day for changes. When we reopen, our top priority will be to help on- and off-campus student leaving for home to ship their belongings home or to another location. We will also help assess the needs for campus offices that must remain open.

We will be open for deliveries and receiving packages.

We will probably be limiting our customer hours and reducing our campus deliveries to reduce the risk of spreading Coronavirus.

MICA STUDENTS LIVING ON CAMPUS 

Residence Halls are now open for mail and package deliveries.  On March 21st, 2020, mail and package deliveries to residence halls will be directed to another campus location TBD. All previously-delivered packages will be moved from Residence halls to that location for the remainder of the break. 

To forward future mail and packages, please visit your local post office and fill out a change of address form, or visit the USPS website.

If you are unable to move out in March, we are working with Residence Life (3/15/20) on a solution for you to get your packages  Please check back here for updates.

Shuttle Service

Evening Safety Shuttle services will be operational each night until one hour after building closures. Circulator shuttles will run on time. Social and Shopping shuttles will be suspended until future notice.
