Are you looking for funding sources to help advance your creative practice, teaching, or research?

MICA offers a variety of funding to Full-time and Part-time Faculty that can help initiate or complete projects, advance skills towards teaching, and share your research or creative work.

Updated: AY19-20 Lucas Grant Application Deadlines are October 9 and February 26.

Lucas Grants for Faculty Teaching & Curriculum Development for funding up to $2,000 are available for AY19-20.

Lucas Grants for Faculty Teaching & Curriculum Development are intended to fund projects that directly contribute to the improvement of curriculum and teaching at MICA.

The Faculty Grants Committee meets to review the Lucas Grant applications and recommends to the Provost a ranked slate of proposals for grant awards on the basis of the evaluation criteria.

Marcella Brenner Grants for Faculty Development and Research for funding up to $2,000 are available for AY19-20.

Marcella Brenner Grants for Faculty Development and Research fund projects that contribute to the faculty member's professional, artistic, or scholarly research and development.

The Faculty Grants Committee meets to review Marcella Brenner Grant applications and recommends to the Provost a ranked slate of proposals for grant awards on the basis of the evaluation criteria.

The Stanley Rosen Faculty Development Endowment in 1998 with a gift from Madalyn Rosen through the Rosen-Gold Family Philanthropic Fund in memory of Madalyn's husband, Stanley Rosen.

This grant of $500 is awarded annually to a deserving faculty member who is identified by the Grants Committee from their review of the spring applications for the Brenner Grants for Faculty Development & Research.

 

Updated: Grants for Faculty Research and Creative Development deadline is January 22, 2020.

The Grant for Faculty Research and Creative Development provides funding up to $5,000 to support larger-scale artistic and scholarly projects, research travel and stay for academic or creative work, and bodies of work with significant material expenses. Additionally, this grant can help faculty initiate projects with significant time requirements through a course release.

A professional development fund specifically for adjunct established as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between MICA and SEIU Local 500, August 2015-June 30, 2018. With the ratification of the new Agreement in October 2018, the total amount of this funding was increased from $6,667 to $12,500 per year and the amount that an individual could receive in a single year was increased from $600 to $1,000. Please review the prospectus below for updates to the fund and instructions for applying.

The Center for Creative Citizenship's grant programs provide MICA students, faculty, and staff with funding to initiate or enhance community engagement projects and activities of their own design. Projects can be curricular or co-curricular, but they must engage a community partner or respond to a compelling community opportunity or need.
