Katherine Kavanaugh is currently a faculty member of the Art Education, MA graduate program.
In her studio practice, she constructs site-specific outdoor and indoor installations which sometimes incorporate video.
Recently, she collaborated with poet Jennifer Wallace on a series of artist books using letterpress, drawings, and etchings that incorporate collage. Additionally, she worked with composer David Smooke to construct a site-specific water and sound piece for accompanying musicians.
Katherine grew up in Northern Minnesota and has lived in Louisiana and Virginia. She currently lives in Baltimore.
