The dFab Research Tech is a one year award to continue creating with cutting edge technology while supporting current MICA students' ideas and visions.
In the Digital Fabrication Studio the Research technician contributes to the space as a studio technician, enhancing the makerspace community at MICA. They provide knowledge and experience assisting in developing and bringing to life student’s visions with the help of 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines. This position provides one student the opportunity to develop their own body of work to further their practice after graduation and to be able to utilize the resources of the Digital Fabrication studio and resources in MICA’s community.
