Mr. Dalsheimer taught at the Park School in Baltimore for twenty years until he retired in 1979. In 1981, he opened the owned the G.H. Dalsheimer Gallery Ltd. in Baltimore, MD, one of the highest profile galleries in the city. His personal collection was sold to the Baltimore Museum of Art.
