Non-Degree Learning Opportunities

Summer Travel Intensives

MICA's Office of Open Studies administers Summer Travel Intensives.

These summer experiences are open to undergraduate and graduate students and life-long learners at least 18 years of age who have completed at least one year of college study. Serious students travel with MICA faculty to places of great aesthetic and historical resonance, and to centers of contemporary art and design to earn college credit, enhance their art-making, and connect with art and other artists through MICA's Summer and Winter Travel Intensives.

All of our 2020 Summer Travel Intensive programs have been canceled due to COVID-19. Please know that this decision was made after much thought and deliberation and that our highest priority is to protect your safety and welfare.  Factors, such as CDC and Department of State travel advisories, the WHO declaring a pandemic and the US declaration of a national emergency, combined with MICA policy and emergency risk management protocol all weighed into this determination. MICA hopes to resume travel programming in Summer 2021. If you have any questions, reach out to the Office of Open Studies.
