Our vision is to create a campus community that thrives on principles of sustainability. We practice, promote and advocate for a campus culture and institutional structure that prepare students who understand their responsibilities for creating a sustainable future. Here are some ways to get involved:

Midtown Community Benefits District

MICA partners locally with The Midtown Community Benefits District, a citizen-run neighborhood advocacy and improvement group authorized in 1995 to provide security and sanitation services along with promotional activities for a 175-block area, including Bolton Hill where MICA calls home.  Midtown was created by voter referendum in an effort to make our neighborhoods stronger, better places to live and work. Their goal is to keep Midtown Baltimore clean, green & safe! The Green Team maintains 17 acres of park spaces in the community, including, but not limited to the Historic St. Paul Street Park, the Mount Vernon Children’s Park, the median strips along Mount Royal, Maple Leaf Park, Arnold Sumpter Park, Eutaw Place and the parks of Mount Vernon Square.
