Special interest communities support students by providing them a living environment where everyone shares a common interest.  The residence life staff will offer programming opportunities that focus on the theme of their specific community to further enhance the residential and learning experience.

Application Process

To be considered for a special interest community please complete the housing application online in conjunction with completing the special interest community application sent to your MICA email in June . We encourage anyone that is willing to actively participate, take ownership of the community and be a good ambassador of our special interest communities to apply.
