Frequently Asked Questions

The amount of time each position requires varies tremendously, so please pay close attention when you are considering applying. Some positions like Residential Advisor, Diversity Coordinator, France Merrick Fellow, and Program Manager require a significant amount of time, while other roles require less and are more easily balanced. Each position listing provides information on the expected time commitment, which you should consider carefully.

Opportunities such as the Pre-College RA or TA, as well as Orientation Leader, take place largely over the summer and hence have minimal to no impact on the traditional academic semester. If you are concerned about time commitments impacting your coursework, those may be positions worth considering.

Many iLEAD positions have a stipend attached to the role and the amount of compensation generally increases with the scope of the role. Please pay close attention to the “Compensation” section of each position listing.

It varies! The application process will be indicated within the individual position description on the iLead website. Click here to see all position descriptions, and select "LEARN MORE" on the position you're interested in to see a full description, including information about how to apply. You must apply to each position you're interested in individually.

Note that the application process for all paid iLead positions will be conducted through Workday. These positions can be identified by those that have "iLead" in the position title on Workday.

Yes! International students can apply for all iLEAD positions, and many are open for Graduate Students as well.
