General Purpose
The Studio Manager (SM) oversees the day to day operation of the residential studios, including developing a sign in/out procedure that meets the needs of the residents.
Summary of Essential Functions

Oversee the check in and check out process for studios, including creating a process at the start of the semester, and managing it throughout the year.

Manage keys or codes, changing regularly, and providing contracts to studio users

Communicate regularly with residents using the studios, and respond in an appropriate time span to questions or concerns
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Address facilities and safety related issues of the studio spaces, submitting work orders and following up with the RC as needed

Complete weekly walkthroughs of the studios, ensuring health and safety protocols are being followed, and following up with residents accordingly who violate policies

Assist during opening and closing procedures of studio spaces at start and end of semesters

Meet approximately once per month with RC for check in

Participate in one training with EHS to review health and safety studio protocol at start of year
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of MICA Studio Areas on campus

Use Google docs
-
Ability to keep schedules and organize with the academic calendar
Minimum Qualifications
-
Must currently be enrolled at MICA
-
1 year of experience at MICA
Preferred Qualifications
-
The SM must be in good academic and judicial standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better
-
Approximately 5 hours per week

Studio managers must be able to commit for a full academic year
