Connectors Mentor Transfer Students throughout the year.
Summary of Essential Functions

Promote a position view of MICA and the Center for Student Engagement to the new transfer students.

Connect transfer students to MICA resources and each other.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Participate in all Connector Trainings
-
Mentor assigned group of “mentees”
-
Plan two campus events per semester in conjunction with the Center for Student Engagement
-
Communicate in a timely manner and complete all required paperwork as requested

Set a positive example for transfer students by abiding to MICA policies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of: MICA policies and procedures, campus resources, the transfer student experience at MICA

Skills: courteous, organized, professional

Ability to: create a welcoming environment for new students
Minimum Qualifications

Education: At least one semester at MICA
Preferred Qualifications

Be a MICA Transfer Student
Conditions of Employment:
-
Participate in 2 programs per semester, dates to be determined
-
Participate in all trainings, dates to be determined
Compensation
$200 divided into two $100 payments made at the end of each semester. Connectors must stay involved with the program through the end of each semester to qualify for stipend
