General Purpose
Represent the student voice, by serving as conduit between Wellness Center and the MICA community.
Summary of Essential Functions
- Student liaison between departments on campus and the Wellness Center
- Plan and execute 3 Wellness programs per semester
- Attend and Staff wellness events
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop health promotion initiatives
- Work up to 8 hours a week managing areas of responsibility, programming communicating with constituents
- Manage assigned areas of responsibilities: Mental/Emotional Health, Physical Health, or Prevention
- Manage assigned outreach responsibility: Social Media, Stall Street Journal, or Wellness Wednesday
- Attend weekly meetings and monthly all staff meeting
- Work one shift a week as a Fitness Assistant
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of general wellness practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a MICA student
- Good disciplinary and academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Demonstrates and interest personal wellness
Conditions of Employment
- Time worked is determined based on availability and needs of programming
Compensation
- An hourly rate of $11.20
- This includes Fitness Assistant shift, meetings, attending, and planning events
