Artistic expression spans media, and MICA's art technology resources are available to help students realize their artistic vision, no matter what the technological challenges.
The Art Tech Center houses a number of technology resources for the MICA campus. Originally a union headquarters, the College purchased and renovated the building in the 1980's to become MICA's first cafeteria. When the new campus cafeteria was built in 2005 within the Meyerhoff House, plans were made to reuse the building and in 2007 the Art Tech Center was developed as a central resource to house MICA's growing fabrication and printing technologies. Today the Art Tech Center is home to the following resources:
- The MICA Print Lab
- The AV Services Tech Desk
- The Help Desk
- A computer lab with ten different desktop computers, including nine Mac computers, one PC, and five flatbed scanners.
The Center is located at 1208 Mt. Royal Ave near the college store and is open to all faculty, staff
