David Goode-Cross, PhD, Director
Dr. Goode-Cross received his doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is a licensed psychologist in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Dr. Goode-Cross has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Black Psychology and the Psychology of Men and Masculinity, and his research has been published a number of psychology journals including the Journal of Homosexualitiy, the Journal of Diversity in Higher Education and Training and Education in Professional Psychology. Beyond his scholarship, Dr. Goode-Cross has had diverse clinical experiences working with people of color, trans* and gender diverse clients, clients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, questioning and/or queer, and the intersections of those identities.
Andrea Regenberg, LCSW-C, Associate Director
Andrea received her master's degree in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1996 and has been working in MICA's Student Counseling Center since 2014. Andrea has worked extensively with teenagers, young adults and their families. Andrea's work and training has focused on concerns ranging from poverty, substance abuse and learning difficulties to anxiety, depression and the autism spectrum. Working with undergraduate and graduate students is particularly interesting as they strive to better understand themselves and how they can best function. Andrea is invested in the city of Baltimore and is interested in politics and social justice.
Myrja Paul, LCPC-S, Staff Therapist
Myrja received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Myrja's prior experience includes providing individual and family counseling to adolescents and adults in schools and outpatient mental health clinics. Myrja has worked with clients coping with life transitions, mood disorders and anxiety. Myrja particularly enjoys working with young adults to help them create a balance of self care, while also striving to meet their personal and professional goals.
Keyaira Williams, M.S., Student Intern Counselor
Keyaira earned her Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, where she is currently working towards her doctoral (Psy.D.) degree. Keyaira has primarily worked with adults in community mental health and university counseling settings. Her professional interests include working with individuals dealing with difficult transitions, depression, family conflict, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. She also enjoys helping clients better understand their intersecting racial, sexual, cultural, and gender identities.
Rebecca Miller, M.S., Student Intern Counselor
Rebecca (she/her) is currently a fifth year doctoral student studying clinical psychology at Howard University. She received her master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas in 2013. Rebecca works with a wide range of clients with a focus on autistic and LGBTQIA+ clients, particularly in relation to identity development, interpersonal relationships, and the nuances of navigating these identities in the face of stigma, discrimination, and lack of access/acceptance. With regard to research, Rebecca’s dissertation investigates factors influencing willingness to use complementary and alternative healing approaches over conventional therapy in transgender and gender non-conforming populations. Rebecca joined MICA’s student counseling center in the fall of 2018 as a doctoral trainee. She studied art in her undergraduate training and continues to practice different forms of creative expression throughout her doctoral studies.
Jazzmen Tripp, Administrative Assistant
Jazzmen received her bachelor's degree in both autism behavioral studies and health sciences (concentration in research and advocacy) from Saint Joseph's University. She has a myriad of experience working with children and adults on the autism spectrum. Jazzmen is the typically the first point of contact at the SCC, and she manages SCC's social media accounts in addition to providing support to our staff. A native of Baltimore, Jazzmen loves the color pink and anything with glitter.
