Megan Elcrat studied architecture at Kansas State University where she received her professional degree.

In the past, as an architectural designer for Rubeling and Associates, she specialized in historic renovation and reconstructing. Some of the projects she designed, researched and helped complete were the Benjamin Banneker Cabin Reconstruction, the Old County Jail stabilization and the Perry Hall Mansion.

Now, Megan is the principal of 33:Design, LLC, where her design projects include Chesapeake Systems, winner of a Baltimore Heritage 2010 Historic Preservation Award, and the restoration of the Mount St. Mary's Chapel of Immaculate Conception. She provides local business owners with facade improvements studies and is focused on adaptive reuse. Her firm does both commercial and residential work, helps religious facilities, and a variety of historic restorations.

She is currently teaching design drawing in the Architectural and Environmental Design department, and in the Continuing Education Department at the Maryland Institute College of Arts.
