As announced in a letter to the community on March 11, 2020:

“Upcoming essential events, such as Commencement and related activities and festivities are being considered on a case-by-case basis, and their status will be communicated as soon as a decision has been made. We expect such decisions before the end of March.”

The Undergraduate Commencement ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 18, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. 

The Graduate Commencement Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 18, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. in the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

All of our students have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone.  While we hope to be able to celebrate this achievement and its related festivities with everyone in person, we are assessing multiple contingency plans given the rapidly evolving COVID-19 public health emergency.  Please look for additional communications regarding Commencement in the coming weeks.  Additionally, current information about MICA’s response to COVID-19 can be found at www.mica.edu/coronavirus.
