Not only do we hold some incredible art and design-related resources, we also offer services like instruction sessions, Course Reserves, public printing and scanning equipment, and a space for small group meetings or quiet study.
Request Instruction
We kindly require instructions be requested at least one week in advance. For best student engagement, please be ready to share your syllabus and connect the visit to a specific assignment with your librarian.
Put Materials on Reserve for Students
Reserves are items pulled and set aside for a particular course. Reserves are located behind the Access Services desk on the first floor of the library. Our materials or yours can be placed on reserve!
Printing costs $0.50 per page for color or black-and-white printouts, whether 8.5 x 11 inches or 11 x 17 inches. Only white printer paper is available for printing in the library. Payment should be made using your MICARD Flex Account.
Due to the volume of printing and lack of calibrated printers, text printing works best in the library. We suggest printing any art and design-related material at the Art Tech Center.
The library rooms offer whiteboards, movable furniture, and ways to play or project videos/presentations. Use for yourself, group work, or your organization.
Schedule our small meeting room! It comfortably fits 10 people but 15 people is about its max.
You can also schedule our library classroom. Requests for the library classroom are available for the next seven days. Future dates are held for potential library instruction use.
We're interested in buying materials that would benefit the MICA community. Whether that's a book, DVD, game, zine, or weird and wonderful object--let us know what you want!
