Book Retrieval
Library staff are happy to retrieve materials directly for you. Request books ahead of time by visiting the Library Catalog and logging in with your MICA username and password. Place items you'd like pulled on Hold. Alternatively, you can email circ@mica.edu, or ask a Library staff person at Access Services, the main service desk (directly across from the entrance). The Library retrieves books twice daily and will notify you by email when they are ready to be picked up. We will Hold items for 7 days.
Facility Accessibility
The majority of Decker Library's collection is on the lower level, which is not accessible by a public elevator. However, we can provide access to a private elevator. If you need to access the lower level of the Library via elevator, please email the Library (circ@mica.edu) at least one hour ahead of time. This ensures that we have staff to escort you to the keyed elevator and remain available to you downstairs, so you can take whatever time is needed to browse or print materials, conduct research, or study. The Library staff member will assist with physical removal of items from shelves as needed and return to the first floor.
The nearest accessible restrooms are located on the second floor of the Bunting Center.
Accessible Content
If you would like to have an item in the Library with a specific format (closed captioning, large print, etc.), please fill out our Suggest A Purchase form. We'll even place it on Hold for you if you'd like.
