Smoking is prohibited in all indoor campus spaces, including student rooms in College residential facilities. Smoking is also prohibited within 25 feet of building.

The goal is to eliminate situations where students, employees, and visitors must walk through smokefilled areas in order to enter a MICA building, and also to prevent smoke from migrating into the building. “No Smoking” signs will be posted as a reminder of this policy.

Ash trays are provided in areas where smoking is permitted, and smokers are encouraged to use them instead of campus sidewalks and lawns when extinguishing their cigarettes.
