Summer Travel Intensives

Paris: The City in Motion

Summer Travel Intensive Program to Paris was cancelled on March 15, 2020 as a precaution and response to COVID-19 (coronavirus). MICA hopes to offer Paris: The City in Motion during Summer 2021.

Dates

Travel Dates: Program canceled on March 15, 2020

Program Overview

Students will be immersed in a totally creative environment in one of the most beautiful and art-driven cities in the world.

This course allows students from all disciplines to investigate the concept of The City in Motion while exploring Paris. Students are challenged to explore various aspects of the city with time-based sketches done as drawings, photos, and/or any other media that they may choose. Mobility will be a point of emphasis and students are encouraged to bring tablets and smartphones (and good sneakers!) to be able to animate directly on the go. In addition to improving their creative skills, students meet exceptional Parisian talents and discover world-class museums, monuments, and urban areas that range from antiquity to 21st-century experiments.

This three-week program** may be taken for undergraduate and graduate credit or audit, and is open to undergraduates, graduates, and lifelong learners.

**One free week in Les Recollets is left open for students to visit the city at their own rhythm if they wish.

This program is open to all majors. No animation experience needed.
