It is easy to embark on an academic journey that is completely confined to the fortress designated as "safe" university spaces and free campus shuttles, but MICA expects more from its graduate students.

MICA graduate students are not fish-out-of-the-water, but seasoned professionals looking to learn and develop in specialized fields of study. We advocate for deeper, co-creative engagement between universities and communities.

Use the resources listed below to help you interact with our graduate community and the broader Baltimore community, and to plan your dynamic creative path at MICA.

Packages and Shipping

Students in On-Campus Housing

Packages and letter mail will be accepted for students living in on-campus housing at their housing address:

Student's Name
140 West Lafayette Avenue
Meyerhoff House, MICA Apt. ___
Baltimore, MD 21217

 Students living Off-Campus

The Graduate Office receives and signs for graduate student parcels and packages as a courtesy. Only small parcels and packages will be accepted (no letters, postcards or large envelopes). Please also refrain from ordering perishable items. Letters and perishable items should be delivered directly to your residence, and will be refused or returned to sender if delivered to Graduate Studies.

Deliveries of freight shipments, oversize or heavy materials, such as lumber, for your studio work must be coordinated with the shipper for a specific time window that you must be present to receive. Any freight shipments that arrive when you are not present will be refused and returned. With you present at the delivery, the freight companies will usually get it in the door, but it is up to you to get it to your assigned workspace.

Once a day on weekdays, a MICA Postal & Print employee will scan all of the newly arrived packages and generate an email from Pitney Bowes, informing you of the package's arrival on campus. When you receive a package notification from Pitney Bowes, please come to Graduate Studies right away to retrieve your package. Packages left for more than 10 days will be returned to sender.

As always, neither MICA Postal & Print nor the Graduate Office is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged packages. We extend this as a courtesy to students and recommend limiting packages to materials you use in your studio.

Address your packages as follows:

Student's Name
c/o MICA Graduate Studies
131 W North Ave
Baltimore, MD 21201-5807

Postal and Print is open from 8:30am - 5pm M-F, and is located on the main floor of Bunting.
